It's no secret that adult coloring books are all the rage, and I'm all for this trend. It's a great way to relax and de-stress by reconnecting with your childhood. I mean, I always loved to color as a kid. So when I got a chance to review Whatever is Lovely for Blogging for Books, I jumped at it. Whatever is Lovely is different from your standard adult coloring book because it's built to help you reflect and worship. Jesus and coloring? It's a surprisingly brilliant combination. The Scripture, quotations, and song lyrics are beautifully illustrated with flowers and animals. I really like the designs because only a few are really intricate - most have thick, broad outlines, simple designs, and plenty of room to color. No stress or difficulty here - just an open space to put color on a page.
Included with the book is a link to the Whatever is Lovely playlist on Spotify to really help you worship. I listened to it, and it's a peaceful, calming mix. My favorite song was Learn to Love by NEEDTOBREATHE. When those stressful days hit, this book and playlist are a great place to turn. The Verdict: It's not an actual book to read, but I love it just the same. If you're looking for a good adult coloring book, this ranks about as highly as they come. The Disclaimer: I received this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest opinion.
