Okay, pipe down, I know it's not technically fall yet. But I've been over summer - and this heat - for a while. Really, fresh produce is the only consolation for surviving a South Carolina summer (side note: can I move back to France now?). But seriously, I've been ready for fall since about mid-June. Now that we're soooo close, here are the things I'm crushing on for this season. 1 // Lularue leggings. I hate, hate, hate getting Facebook invites to sales parties. I do not need overpriced kitchen tools, aromatherapy, or jewelry, and the parties themselves make an introvert like me want to crawl in a hole and die. So when my Phi Beta Chi lil sis, Megan, added me to her Lularoe Facebook group, I was...hesitant (sorry, Megs!). But then I began hearing more and more about the leggings, and I decided to give them a try. And Y'ALL. Holy mother of comfort, Batman. I wore them on the plane from Spain, and while my back was killing me in the airline seat, my leggings sure were comfortable. At $25, they're wildly reasonable, too. And ALL THE FUN PATTERNS. Go join Megan's Facebook group to see for yourself. I am a convert. But seriously, please don't anyone else send me any aromatherapy invites, k? For the love, I am really good. 2 // R&B Printery letterpress cards. Y'all know I can't have a new season without a new paper product obsession, especially since it's back-to-school time (the environmentalists hate me). We came across R&B Printery at the Travelers Rest farmer's market, which in itself was amazing, and then I found this stall with adorable cards. Never mind that we were there to get vegetables. I had to buy cards printed with vegetables. And you should, too. 3 // Paris Letters. Speaking of being on the EPA's bad side, remember the book I reviewed a while back, Paris Letters? Well, in the book, the author describes how she painted watercolors of Parisian scenes, wrote letters over them, copied and personalized them, and sent them out as a subscription. Yeah, you know I had to get in on that. You can sign up for a subscription (as I did, because REAL MAIL), or you can buy specific letters. I'm especially partial to this one. Just note - you're not getting an actual painting, you're getting a copy. But it's still gorgeous and totes worth it. I smell a gallery wall coming on. 4 // Cover Girl Oh Sugar lip gloss in Taffy. I love Fresh's Sugar lip treatment, but $22 is a little steep for glorified lip balm. Enter one of the best makeup dupes I've ever seen. It goes on like Chapstick and it smells divine - and exactly like Fresh Sugar. I like the Taffy color because it gives me a little polish without being too much (I'm not a bright lipstick gal), but there are some brighter colors if that's your thing. You can pick it up at drugstores, or if you're an Amazon Prime junkie like me, click on the link to have it delivered to your door in two days. 5 // Trader Joe's truffle marcona almonds. We've been trying to eat healthfully, and during meals we've done a pretty good job, but sometimes snacking gets a little iffy. Between meals, I've started snacking on a small quantity of nuts, especially these almonds. They're crunchy and perfect, and the truffle flavor is divine. They are not the lowest in calories, but a small handful will satisfy your hunger and definitely your tastebuds. And they're far more nutritious than chips, crackers, or pretzels. Love.
